Digital Literacy Celebrations week at Nakaseke Public Library

 

Today Nakaseke Public Library joined the rest of the world to honer the Digital Literacy We received a good  number of about  170 Children to learn how a Computer and also to read stories only from www.africanstorybook.com For sure it was fun as children interacted with the computer  and the beautiful stories they can hardly fine in print. The stories which inspired them most was  A Big Blue Bus and  A Careless Man. After  reading we made a story assesment and we discovered that children were able to discover new words and their right spellings. they were also able to identify the key charactors in the stories.                                                                                                                                                              

  In the Afternoon Session we had Upper Primary  and  Teachers were very helpful durng the session and that makes our collaboration very strong with Schools and the community. For this group we looked at basic Computer Literacy how to type a story and save it in the folder. I was really fun for the Children.
