The Impact of COVID 19 on Gender

 

Nakaseke Radio 90.2fm has today hosted Ms. Zaharah Namukasa the Community Development Officer ( CDO) to share with us on how COVID 19 affected the women and Youth in Nakaseke. Women were the most vulnerable during the lockdown. Ms. Zaharah has told us that there was a lot of domestic Violence attributed to adultery, rape, Defilement unwanted pregnancies.

All this happened because many people were idle at home. Also, many younger girls got pregnant from their fellow youth who are jobless and supporting them was very difficult.
